The Kill Order by James Dashner
As it says in the "Notes", when James Dashner
kills, he kills. And there are at least a few deaths that I don't agree
with. They just don't make sense. They don't have a motive and they
don't add anything to the story itself, which makes me take points from
this book.
However, Alec and Mark are, without a doubt, my
favorite characters and they give personality to the story. Not just
because Mark is a hopeless romantic, but also because Alec overlaps with
his comedic lines throughout the book.
Actually James Dashner
books are something comical in my life. I started by watching the
movies. Then, in one of the worst years of my life, I found the 5 books
in a fantastic promotion on a Black Friday here in Portugal. Since then I
have read 1 book a year.
It's not just because until last
year I didn't like to read. In fact, in the past, for me, reading was a
bore, but because each book has been a literal or figurative
representation of my academic and personal life. So I made it a point to
read one book per school year. James Dashner seems to be a psychic, tho!
In short, it is a book that I advise you to read, although I believe it is an average book and that it did not exceed my expectations at all.
